Brew Can Co. needed to stand out in a crowded coffee market filled with colorful, busy designs. I created a bold black-and-white identity that feels more like a premium art piece than a grocery store product, with a simple hand-drawn coffee cup that adds personality without clutter.

Introduction

Every Cup Has a Character

Copa was built on the idea that coffee culture deserves more personality. In a market full of serious third-wave minimalism, Copa chose to be playful — to build a space where the coffee is excellent and the experience is genuinely joyful. The Makers developed a brand identity that leans fully into that energy: colourful, characterful, and impossible to walk past without noticing.

The Copa visual identity is anchored by a cast of original illustrated characters that bring the brand to life across every touchpoint. A vibrant palette of espresso browns, citrus yellows, and deep teals creates a world that feels both premium and playful. The typography is confident and rounded — as welcoming as a favourite café seat. The whole system was designed to live as comfortably on a takeaway cup as it does on a billboard.

Built for the Community Cup

The Makers delivered the Copa brand in full: brand strategy, character illustration, logo system, colour and type guidelines, packaging design, in-store environmental graphics, merchandise, and digital identity. The result is a brand with enough personality to build a genuine community around — one cup at a time.
